Understanding How Ovitage® Bioactive Peptide Supplement Affects Common Gut Symptoms in Women.

1. Introduction and Purpose of the Study

You are invited to take part in the Everee Lab Gut Health study. Before you decide whether to participate, it is important to understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. Please read the following information carefully.

2. Who Is Conducting the Study

This study is being conducted by the Everee Lab Science Team to evaluate whether Ovitage® bioactive peptides may help support women’s gut health.

3. Why You Have Been Invited

The target study population is women aged 18 years and above who are experiencing gut health symptoms such as bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation, flatulence and fatigue.

Participants have been recruited by email and social media notifications with expression of interest through a sign-up form.

Final acceptance into the study will occur after you consent at the base of this information sheet.

Participation in the trial is voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time.

4. Exclusion Criteria

Participants will be excluded from the study if they meet any of the following criteria:

· Are currently pregnant or breastfeeding.

· Are experiencing severe gut symptoms such as blood in stools, severe or persistent abdominal pain, fever, or unexplained weight loss. These symptoms require medical assessment as soon as possible.

· Have a known allergy or sensitivity to ovine (sheep) collagen or any components of the study supplement.

·Have a known allergy or sensitivity to kiwifruit or kiwifruit-derived products, in addition to ovine (sheep) collagen or any other components of the study supplement

· Have had major gastrointestinal surgery in the past 6 months.

· Have severe chronic illnesses that may affect digestion or nutrient absorption (e.g. advanced liver disease, untreated thyroid disorders).

· Are currently taking medications known to significantly influence gut motility or microbiome composition (e.g., recent antibiotics within the last 4–6 weeks, chronic laxative use, proton pump inhibitors if relevant).

5. What Participation Involves

If you choose to take part, you will:

· Take the recommended number capsules daily containing Ovitage® bioactive peptides.

· Complete weekly symptom‑tracking questionnaires online.

· Record any changes in your digestive symptoms.

· If already taking Everee products, then stop for 4 weeks before the study commences.

· Avoid using other Everee products during the study period.

The study lasts 8 weeks.

6. Risks and Discomforts

Potential risks are minimal but may include temporary digestive changes such as bloating, gas, or altered bowel habits. The study supplement contains a kiwifruit-derived prebiotic fibre, which may increase fermentation-related symptoms (e.g. gas or bloating) in susceptible individuals. You may also find the weekly questionnaires slightly time‑consuming.

7. Benefits

While you may or may not notice improvements in your own symptoms, your participation will help us better understand whether this supplement may support gut health in women.

8. Voluntary Participation and Withdrawal

Your participation is voluntary. You may withdraw at any time without giving a reason. Notification of withdrawal can be advised by email hello@everee.com. If you withdraw, you can choose whether previously collected information is retained or destroyed.

9. Privacy and Confidentiality

All information collected during the study will be kept confidential and stored securely. Data will be de-identified where possible and handled in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

10. Costs and Compensation

There is no cost for you to take part. You will receive complimentary products for the 8‑week study period.
